My college roommate, whom we’ll call C, and his lovely wife, whom we’ll also call C, are visiting with their newborn son, I, from New York. We are so glad they came, and so glad they reached Virginia safely despite traffic in both New York and Washington on the drive down. C was a groomsman in my wedding when I married Love in Virginia Beach in 2005, and I flew to Los Angeles to be in C and C’s wedding in 2009.
The excitement of old reunions, and the promise of new adventures, fill today’s life in a day.
