I shot at Georgetown University again tonight. It is always funny to go back there. In some ways, I feel like I fit right in. But in most other ways, I feel it’s not been a handful of years that I’ve been away, but instead a handful of decades. It reminds me of the Simon & Garfunkel song The Boxer: “Now the years are rolling by me / they are rocking even me. / I am older than I once was, but younger than I’ll be / that’s not unusual. / Though it isn’t strange; after changes upon changes, we are more or less the same / After changes, we are more or less the same.”
It was 23 degrees when I shot, with sustained winds out of the northwest at 25 knots, gusting to 35-40. Wind chill, according to the National Weather Service, is -2 tonight. This is a short post, in hopes that I will thaw out soon.
